To encourage small and medium enterprises (“SMEs”) to enhance their Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) performance, the Hong Kong Productivity Council (“HKPC”) ESG One collaborates with TVB to unveil an exciting new TVB ESG Awards series -  the “SME ESG Excellence Awards”. It aims to recognize and promote outstanding achievements and innovations by SMEs in ESG practices across categories such as “Business Decarbonization”, “Employee Care”, “Supply Chain Partnership”, “Sustainable Governance”, and ESG Tech Enhancement”. The enterprise demonstrates the best overall performance will be honoured with the prestigious “SME ESG Excellence Award”.

Participating in this award allows SMEs to gain deeper insights into their ESG performance, receive professional ESG assessment feedback to refine sustainable development strategies, enhance brand image, expand business networks, and establish industry leadership, driving long-term growth ultimately.
 

1. Award Categories and Eligibility 

Eligible participants: Hong Kong SMEs (Definition: Manufacturing - fewer than 100 employees, Non-manufacturing - fewer than 50 employees) 

SMEs that are not awarded the above ESG awards but have made significant ESG efforts in the past year will be eligible for the nomination of the “ESG Special Recognition Award – Merit” to acknowledge their contributions.

2. Assessment Criteria

All ESG projects must be completed between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025. SMEs applying for the “SME ESG Excellence Award” will be assessed based on the 8 categories of the “Online ESG Self-Assessment” powered by HKPC ESG One:

1. Complete the online application form or email to esg.info@tvb.com.hk with:
   1.1 Completed electronic TVB ESG Awards 2025 Application Form
   1.2 A brief description (max. 300 words per criterion) of work and performance under each assessment criterion in the “SME ESG     Excellence Awards” section
   1.3 Audited or certified reports/certificates/documents verifying SME ESG performance
   1.4 Company logo (Format: .ai or .png; Resolution: ≥300dpi)
   1.5 Copy of Business Registration Certificate (and documents proving organizational nature)
2. After submitting the form, it is recommended to complete the Online ESG Self-Assessment (Full Version) on the HKPC ESG One website to provide more information (click here).
3. All application materials must be submitted in Chinese.
