To encourage Hong Kong SMEs to enhance their performance in “Environmental, Social and Governance” (“ESG”), the HKPC ESG One, in collaboration with TVB, launched the first “SME ESG Excellence Awards” (“Award”) in 2025. The Award received an enthusiastic response, attracting 110 SMEs from various industries to participate. This strong turnout fully reflects Hong Kong SMEs’ growing commitment to sustainable development and ESG management. The award presentation ceremony was successfully held on 19 December 2025 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
This newly established award aims to recognise Hong Kong SMEs for their outstanding achievements and innovative practices across five key ESG pillars, included Business Decarbonization, Employee Care, Supply Chain Partnership, Sustainable Governance and ESG Tech Enhancement. A panel of professional judges selected enterprises with the most outstanding overall ESG performance, and “Riskory Consultancy Limited” was honoured with the First “SME ESG Excellence Award” among 110 participated SMEs.

TVB ESG Awards 2025” – SME ESG Excellence Awards - Open for Application NOW
香港生產力促進局(生產力局)於2024年1月推出「ESG一站通」(ESG One)平台,透過整合評估工具、技術支援及培訓資源,為中小企業提供端到端可持續發展解決方案。配合新成立的「資源循環技術研究中心」,雙軌並行協助企業將 ESG 理念深度融入營運核心。
生產力局首席技術總監張梓昌今日透露,平台推出年半已吸引逾1200間企業,其中中小企佔比高達95%,並獲約190間機構支持。
張梓昌分析指出,當前中小企實踐 ESG 正面臨四大關鍵挑戰,分別為缺乏專業知識科技與資源、數據收集與報告困難、資金與成本壓力,以及對市場認知及曝光不足。
對此,他提出六點以全方位支持中小企的 ESG 轉型。六大核心支柱分別為 ESG 評估與藍圖規劃、數位信任與管治、專業 ESG 諮詢、綠色科技探索、資助計劃及人才培訓與商務機遇。
生產力局綠色生活與創新部總經理蔡劍虹進一步分享平台數據指出,在約1200間參與自我評估的中小企中,橫跨18個行業的企業於「商業道德」、「勞工權益」及「客戶責任」三大範疇表現突出。
其中,「商業道德」中有93%企業制定反貪腐政策,77%建立舉報人保護機制;「勞工實踐」中有91%企業設有勞動保障政策,84%提供基本員工醫療支援;「客戶責任」中亦有95%建立投訴處理系統,82%實施透明產品保固條款 。
針對中小企資源限制,張梓昌強調將採取「認知賦能」、「能力建構」、「技術落地」三階段支援策略,包括開辦 ESG 實務工作坊、提供國際標準認證培訓,以及協助企業申請綠色科技研發基金,全面降低轉型障礙。

The "ESG One MeetUp Drinks" event, co-hosted by HKPC ESG One and Bank of China (Hong Kong), has successfully concluded at ZEEKR's Taikoo Shing Flagship Showroom.
The "ESG One Mid-Term MeetUp” Enhancing the Power of Enterprises for A Sustainable Green Hong Kong organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) was held today at the HKPC Building, bringing together over 100 government officials, business leaders, industry associations, and representatives from SMEs, who attended enthusiastically. During the event, “ESG One” announced its brand-new membership benefits and recognised over 20 SMEs that performed exceptionally well in their ESG self-assessments. Afterwards, experts from the tourism, hotel, technology, and ESG industries shared their valuable insights in the "Experts’ Chitchat" session, discussing from multiple perspectives on how ESG and technological innovation can play a crucial role in driving the tourism and hospitality industries forward.
HKPC has continually supported large, medium, and small enterprises. In co-hosting the “ESG Corporate Clinic” - second station on ESG focusing on the “S” enterprise development and social responsibility with JCI Apex, Roger Lee, Senior Consultant of HKPC Academy, served as the guest speaker introducing the New Industrialisation and Technology Training Program NITTP to enhance the understanding of NewIndustrialisation and advanced technology training of local employees.
The "Tech+ SME Sourcing Fair 2023" (the Fair), co-organised by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) and the Trade and Industry Department, kicked off on 10 October 2023. The Fair is aimed at the challenges and helplessness that small and medium enterprises (SMEs) face in finding and selecting technology solutions. It provides on-the-spot examples of practical digital solutions and encourages businesses to leverage Government subsidies to drive their transformation and open up new opportunities.

(Hong Kong, 22 January 2024) HKPC held its flagship event of the year, “ForeSight 2024”, at the HKPC Building. The event was met with enthusiasm and saw a full house of nearly 400 guests, including Government officials, business leaders and media personnel. Under the theme of “ESG One – Driving ESG for Big & Small Businesses”, distinguished speakers led the “ForeSight Leaders Panel” to discuss the importance of sustainability and analyse the strategic deployment of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), aiming to inspire forward-thinking SME owners to realise the value of sustainability in 2024.
